Privacy policy
Last updated September 28, 2026
Loadr is built so your training stays yours. This policy explains what the Loadr app and the Loadr service collect, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version
- Your workouts, measurements, photos and health notes live on your phone. They leave it only when you turn on cloud save or share something.
- An account is optional. Without one, Loadr works fully offline.
- No ads, no third-party trackers, and we never sell your data.
- You can export everything and delete your account from inside the app at any time.
Information on your phone
Workouts, sets, programs, measurements, progress photos, symptom and restriction notes, and settings are stored on your device. Photos are re-encoded on your phone before they are saved, which removes location and camera details.
If you create an account
- Phone number, which identifies your account and lets friends who have your number find you. It is encrypted, not verified yet, and never shown to anyone. On its own it never signs anyone in.
- Email address (optional), to send sign-in codes and help you recover your account. It is encrypted and never shown to other people.
- Profile: username, display name, bio and avatar color, which other people can see.
- Social activity: who you follow, your likes and comments, and the workouts you choose to share, including their photos, exercises, sets and Loadr Scores. Shared workouts never include symptoms, bodyweight, measurements or gyms. Your Loadr Score uses a 5 kg bodyweight class so your exact weight can't be worked out.
- Cloud save (on by default when signed in, and you can turn it off): a copy of your training data so it can be restored on a new phone. It is encrypted at rest with a key unique to your account, and only your account can access it.
Finding friends
If you let Loadr check your contacts, phone numbers are scrambled on your phone before they are sent. The server compares them and does not keep them.
Loadr AI
The assistant is optional. Before your first message in a chat, you see exactly what will be sent. With Loadr AI, your messages and the training context you allow pass through our server to Vercel AI Gateway and the AI model provider (Xiaomi MiMo) to generate a reply. We do not store the conversation; we keep a count of tokens used to track your monthly credits. If you use your own API key instead, the key stays on your phone and requests go directly to the provider you chose, under that provider's terms.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play. Loadr never sees your payment details. We receive the purchase record to confirm what you bought, and issue a signed license tied to a random key created on your device.
Security checks
To protect paid features, the app may ask Apple App Attest or Google Play Integrity to confirm it is a genuine copy on a real device. This sends a one-time challenge and a device-generated key, not personal information.
Logs and abuse prevention
Our servers record error types only, never the contents of requests, sign-in codes, emails or phone numbers. A small sample of request records is kept briefly for reliability. IP addresses are scrambled before being used for rate limiting.
Service providers
- Cloudflare, which hosts the Loadr service and stores account data, cloud saves and shared photos.
- Resend, which delivers sign-in emails.
- Vercel and the AI model provider, for Loadr AI replies.
- Apple and Google, for purchases and app integrity checks.
Keeping and deleting data
Delete your account in the app under Settings, Account. This immediately deletes your account, profile, posts, comments, likes, follows, photos, cloud save and backups. Feedback you sent is kept without being linked to you. Sign-in codes and expired sessions are removed automatically every day. Data on your phone stays until you delete it or remove the app; you can export it first under Settings, Your data.
Children
Loadr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and explain important changes in the app.
